A speech by the Head of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineering Department
Asst.Prof. Dr. Sarmad Kazim Diab
The Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department is a branch of engineering focused on the development and application of technologies and systems that enable intelligent systems to interact with and learn from data and make decisions based on that data. This department encompasses many fields and topics, such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, deep machine learning, artificial neural networks, robotics, AI guidance systems, and pattern recognition.
AI students learn how to develop software and systems that use machine learning and data analysis to solve various problems. These students work on developing applications and systems used in a variety of fields, such as healthcare, smart cars, finance, marketing, security, and many other applications. This department relies basically on mathematics and programming, requiring a deep understanding of the theoretical foundations and practical applications of artificial intelligence.
It is the home of the mind and creativity, a fundamental tributary of modern science and technology. It combines mathematical sciences, programming, and advanced technologies to graduate a generation of creative and distinguished engineers in the field of artificial intelligence.
